Top 5 Strategies on Facebook
Recently, on The Omni Marketing Experience podcast, Luke Barta and I talked about the top 5 strategies companies of any size can implement on Facebook. From my personal experience in the marketing world almost 5 years is that companies do not fully understand just how powerful Facebook and Instagram are in the B2C advertising space to grow their business. Also, there is much application in the B2B space as well with our work in the ag equipment and truck dealer space.
As a company, you have two major goals when it comes to generating business. You want to generate NEW customers and then you want to RETAIN your EXISTING customers. Because as I've stated before and Jay Abraham states, there are only 3 ways to grow a business.
You can acquire new customers.
You can get your existing customers to shop more frequently.
You can get your existing customers to buy more percentage-wise or more goods overall.
That's it. There isn't, 4,543 ways to grow a business. There are nuanced ways inside these 3 buckets but I'm about keeping things simple. Only people who want to sound important complicate things beyond normal comprehension.
Inside the podcast, we talk about these core 5 strategies.
1. New customer acquisition - How can you generate new leads and new sales on Facebook and what are the best ways of doing so.
2. Existing customer acquisition - Most companies, from my experience, overlook this part. Did you know you can upload your entire customer list to Facebook and then advertise to those people on Facebook and Instagram?
3. Tracking the ROI of your advertising - Tracking the ROI of your ads is big because it allows you to scale. It allows you to say okay, we put in $1 and we got back $4, let's see how long we can keep putting in $100 and getting back $400. We help our clients at Omni Digital Group with their online and offline tracking.
4. The proper Facebook ad objectives - Inside Facebook, there are many different objectives or optimizations for your ads. Do you want someone to say watch a video, click a link, fill out a form, like your ad, etc? We have analyzed with much testing which objectives work best.
5. The types of creative/graphics you should run - 10 -15 ads, this is the ideal number of ads you should be running at any time for your business. Why? Because it allows you to see what works and what doesn't. It also allows you to turn off the ads that aren't performing as well so you can get to the best performing ads.
